Oil Filled Nylon

Self-lubricating nylon with non-toxic lubricant built-in during casting. This lubricant becomes an integral part of the material and will not spin, drain or dry out. Conventional nylons are excellent bearing materials but the oil filled version offers a lower coefficient of friction, higher load carrying capacity, less stick-slip and longer life. It can outlast conventional or MoS2 filled nylons by a factor of five or more.

Size range:

  • Rod – 10 to 500mm diameter.
  • Sheet – 8 to 100mm thick.
  • Tube – 50 to 250mm outside diameter; 10 to 27mm wall. Larger tubes subject to special enquiry.

A high performance thermoplastic for use up to 250°C or above. It has good creep properties, with excellent bearing performance and has excellent chemical, hydrolysis and radiation resistance. Colour: Black

Size range:

  • Rod – 6 to 150mm diameter.
  • Sheet – 8 to 50mm thick.
  • Tube – Subject to special enquiry.

A hard rigid thermoplastic with low coefficient of friction and high creep resistance. Wear performance similar to extruded nylon types 6 and 66. Comparable to acetal in its dimensional stability, chemical resistance and low water absorption. Colour: Cream

Size range:

  • Rod – 10 to 180 outside diameter.
  • Sheet – 10to 50mm thick.
