Tufnol Achieves JOSCAR Accreditation
Tufnol, a leading specialist manufacturer of engineering composites and resin materials, is proud to announce it has joined the Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register (JOSCAR) as a fully registered supplier.
JOSCAR is an accreditation system for the aerospace, defence, marine and security sectors. It enables prime contractors such as BAE Systems, Leonardo, MOD, General Dynamics and others to access a single repository of pre-qualified suppliers. This collaborative solution aims to reduce the time, cost and resources currently required to provide key supplier information.
To join JOSCAR, Tufnol was assessed across a range of general business parameters and those specific to aerospace, defence and security. This included current policies on counterfeit materials, insurance and third-party certification, health and safety, environmental and sustainability, IT security, anti-bribery and corruption, product safety and quality.
As a JOSCAR-registered supplier, Tufnol will gain access to new markets and opportunities whilst building trust and credibility with buyers. By accrediting suppliers like Tufnol who adhere to the high standards and best practices required to trade in the aerospace, defence, marine and security sectors, the JOSCAR system also improves efficiency in both the supplier and buyer communities.
