TUFNOL components provide highly efficient electrical insulation on Ransburg electrostatic paint spraying equipment. Kite brand TUFNOL tube and Swan brand TUFNOL rod are used for the casing and the rotating shaft respectively. The makers of the equipment, Henry W. Peabody (Industrial) Ltd. found that other materials fractured, distorted, or permitted electrical tracking to occur. The TUFNOL components have fully proved their ability to withstand the arduous mechanical and electrical stresses involved in the operation of this 90 kV equipment at shaft speeds from 1425 to 2800 rev/min.
